Community Guidelines

Aurora works because people show up as themselves and treat each other well. These guidelines apply to profiles, plans, chats and every meetup arranged through Aurora.

Good people, brighter days.
Effective: 26 October 2026Last updated: 26 October 2026Applies in India

At a glance

  • Be real. Your own photos, age and intentions.
  • Be respectful. Consent and kindness, always.
  • Be reliable. Show up, or cancel early.
  • Speak up. Report anything that feels wrong.

01Be real

  • Use your real first name, your current age and recent photos that clearly show you.
  • One person, one account. No fake, shared, business or parody profiles.
  • Be honest about what a plan is. A "coffee chat" should not turn into a sales pitch.
  • You must be 18 or over. We remove accounts of anyone under 18.

02Be respectful

  • No harassment, bullying, threats, stalking or intimidation, online or in person.
  • No hate speech or discrimination based on religion, caste, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, region or language.
  • Respect a "no". If someone declines, leaves or blocks you, do not contact them through other channels.
  • Do not send unwanted sexual messages, comments or photos.
  • Aurora is not a dating app first. If you both want a date, that is fine, but never assume.

03Keep it safe

  • Meet only in public places for first meetups. See our Safety Tips.
  • No violence, weapons, or threats of self-harm or harm to others.
  • No illegal drugs, or plans built around illegal activity.
  • Do not share anyone's phone number, address, workplace or photos without their consent.
  • Do not record or photograph people without their permission.

04Content and activity not allowed

Not allowedExamples
Sexual content and solicitationNudity, explicit photos, escort or "paid company" services.
Scams and money requestsAsking for money, loans, crypto or investment, gift cards, or "emergency" help.
Spam and promotionSelling products, MLM recruitment, affiliate links or promoting events without permission.
ImpersonationPretending to be someone else, a celebrity or a brand.
MinorsAny content involving or targeting people under 18.
Illegal contentAnything prohibited by Indian law, including content that threatens public order or infringes copyright.
Misusing AuroraBots, automation, scraping, buying or selling accounts, or abusing the report system.

05Be a good plan partner

  • Only post or join plans you intend to keep.
  • If you cannot make it, cancel in the app as early as possible. Repeated no-shows lower your visibility.
  • Arrive on time, and keep the plan you both agreed to. Do not change the venue to somewhere private.
  • Split costs fairly, or agree in advance who is paying.

06Reporting and blocking

You can report or block anyone from their profile, a plan or a chat. It is always free and the other person is never told who reported them.

  • Our team reviews reports, supported by automated and AI-assisted checks, as quickly as possible. Urgent safety reports are prioritised.
  • Blocking stops a person from seeing your profile, plans and messages.
  • If you are in danger, call 112 first, then report to us.
  • You can also email hello@auroranow.co with details and screenshots.

07What happens when rules are broken

Depending on how serious it is, we may:

  1. Remove the content and send a warning.
  2. Limit features, such as posting or joining plans.
  3. Suspend the account temporarily.
  4. Ban the account and device permanently, and report to the police where the law requires it.

Serious violations, such as threats, sexual misconduct, scams or anything involving minors, lead to an immediate ban.

08Appeals

If you think we made a mistake, email hello@auroranow.co within 30 days with your registered mobile number and a short explanation. A different member of our team will review the decision and reply within 15 days. These guidelines are part of our Terms & Conditions.
