01Acceptance of these terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Sankar Group ("Aurora", "we", "us"), Sankar Group, Malviya Nagar, New Delhi - 110017, India. They govern your use of the Aurora mobile app, website and related services (the "Service").

By downloading the app, creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines and Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. This document is an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and does not need a physical signature.

02Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract under Indian law.
• You must not have been banned from Aurora before, and must not be prohibited by law from using the Service.
• You must not have been convicted of a sexual or violent offence.
• Aurora is currently available in selected Indian cities, starting with Delhi.

03Your account

• You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time password (OTP). You may hold only one personal account.
• Information you provide must be accurate and current, and your photos must show you.
• Keep your phone and OTPs secure. You are responsible for everything that happens on your account.
• Tell us at hello@auroranow.co straight away if you suspect someone else is using your account.

04How the Service works

Aurora lets members post and join real-world plans happening in the next 48 hours, connect after both people confirm, and chat. Plans expire automatically. Other members see an approximate location until a plan is confirmed.

Aurora is a platform that connects people. We do not organise, host, supervise or take part in any meetup, and we are not a party to any arrangement between members. Members are not our employees or agents.

05Your conduct

You agree to follow our Community Guidelines. In particular, you will not:

• harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate or harm anyone, online or in person;
• post sexual, violent, hateful, defamatory or illegal content;
• impersonate anyone or misrepresent your identity, age or intentions;
• use Aurora to offer escort or sexual services, solicit money, run scams, sell products or promote anything commercial without our written permission;
• share another person's private information without their consent;
• scrape, copy or reverse engineer the app, use bots, or interfere with our systems or security;
• use the Service for anything unlawful, including anything prohibited under Rule 3(1)(b) of the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

06Content you post

You own the photos, text and other content you post. You give Sankar Group a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, display, reproduce and adapt that content, only to operate, improve and promote the Service. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared with other members or kept as described in our Data Deletion Policy.

You are responsible for your content. We may review, remove or restrict any content that breaks these Terms or the law, but we are not obliged to monitor everything.

07Aurora+ subscriptions

• Aurora+ is an optional paid subscription with extra features, such as seeing who liked your plan, priority visibility, advanced filters and early access to features. Safety tools, reporting and blocking are always free.
• Prices are shown in the app before purchase and include applicable taxes.
• Subscriptions are billed through Google Play or the Apple App Store and renew automatically until you cancel in the store's subscription settings.
• Uninstalling the app or deleting your account does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
• We may change features or prices. Price changes apply from your next billing period, after notice.

08Meeting other members

Aurora offers safety features such as verified profiles, approximate location, reporting, blocking and plan sharing. However, we do not run criminal background checks and cannot guarantee the identity, intentions or behaviour of any member. You alone are responsible for your interactions with other members. Please follow our Safety Tips every time you meet someone. In an emergency, call 112.

09Our intellectual property

The Aurora name, logo, app, website, designs, illustrations and software belong to Sankar Group or its licensors and are protected by law. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify or distribute any part of it without our written permission.

10Suspension and termination

You can stop using Aurora and delete your account at any time (see Data Deletion). We may warn you, limit features, suspend or permanently remove your account, with or without notice, if you break these Terms or our Community Guidelines, if required by law, or to protect our members. If your account is removed for breaking the rules, you will not receive a refund for unused subscription time unless the law requires one.

11Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we make no warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that you will find a particular plan or match. Information posted by members is their own, not ours.

12Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, Sankar Group and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your interactions with other members, online or offline. Our total liability to you for any claim about the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and ₹1,000. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

13Indemnity

You agree to compensate Sankar Group for any claims, losses or costs (including reasonable legal fees) caused by your breach of these Terms, your content or your conduct with other members.

14Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Before going to court, please contact our Grievance Officer so we can try to resolve the issue. Subject to that, the courts at New Delhi, India have exclusive jurisdiction.

15Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will change the "Last updated" date and tell you in the app about significant changes. Continuing to use Aurora after changes take effect means you accept them.

16Contact and Grievance Officer

In line with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can reach our Grievance Officer with any complaint about Aurora, your data or content on the app.
